Start with clean skin

You should wash your face using a gentle cleanser to get rid of any accumulated impurities and dirt, or you can simply wipe your face with a cotton pad dampened with a little toner to wipe off any build-up or dirt on the skin

Apply a layer of primer

It is preferable to apply a layer of primer, especially if the skin is very dry, which makes the skin look better, and makes the foundation look good for a longer period ranging from 8-12 hours2

Apply a layer of light moisturizer

Moisturizer helps moisturize any dry areas of the skin, and even if your skin is oily, you should use a moisturizer, as it reduces its oiliness during the day, but in this case, you should choose a gel moisturizer for oily skin, as it is absorbed by the skin faster than a regular moisturizer.

It should be noted that you must wait for 5 minutes before continuing to the next step, which helps the moisturizer to penetrate deeply into the skin.

Apply a light foundation

Choose a foundation that matches your original skin tone, or you can choose a color that is one shade lighter than your original skin tone, in order to appear more natural.

A layer of foundation cream should be applied to the skin and distributed evenly on the forehead, nose, chin, and cheeks, then blend the cream with its brush, and if it is not available, you can distribute it with your fingertips in all directions, and you can also use a makeup sponge using the blending technique.

Put a layer of concealer under the eyes

Apply a thin layer of concealer (concealer) using a small tapered brush to cover the dark circles under the eye, then start blending the concealer with the skin.

Apply a layer of powder

Dip the powder brush inside the package, then spread it over the entire face lightly and without pressure. After finishing, pass the powder brush on the face to wipe off the excess amount of powder by passing it in the form of circular motions.

Note that some girls prefer to apply it only to the crease area (the area between the eye and the eyebrow), and this matter is up to you.

Draw an eyeliner line

Use a black or brown eyeliner pen and draw a line along the edge of the upper lash line. It is preferable to use a gel pen for beginners, as it is easier.

You can pull your upper eyelid to the corner of the eye with one hand and look down in the mirror, then start applying it with the other hand, and it must be noted that applying eyeliner so that you can master its drawing.

Eyelashes curl

Use an eyelash curler by holding it at the base of the upper lashes and pressing for up to 5 seconds.

Put a layer of mascara on the lower eyelashes, the upper eyelashes, and direct the mascara wand to the outer corner of the eye. It must be noted that some girls put several layers of mascara, but for a natural look, it is preferable to apply only one layer.

Cheeks and mouth makeup

Put on blush
Dip a dense and soft makeup brush into a powder blush, then start applying it on the apple of the cheek, and blend it upward towards the temples, which is the area in front of the ear and behind the eye.
You can use creamy blush, which is easy to blend and gives the skin the natural glow it needs.

Put a layer of lipstick

Prepare your lips before applying lipstick by polishing them with a layer of lip balm, then apply the lipstick in the color you prefer in the middle of the lower and upper lips, then start wiping it to cover the lips completely.
Then apply a layer of lip gloss if you prefer.

How to remove makeup from the face

There are some steps that must be followed to remove makeup properly from the face, and they are as follows:

  1. Put a layer of makeup remover on your face and leave it for a few minutes. Which helps to make the texture of mascara and eyeliner more soft, which makes it easier to remove it from the face without having to rub it, as rubbing leads to damage to the delicate skin around the eyes and leads to the appearance of wrinkles.
  2. Wash your face with soap and water or use a face wash, this method is better, as it makes the skin more clean, as many women use makeup remover wipes to wipe off makeup, which leads to removing a small amount of makeup, and some women put a layer of moisturizer after wiping the face with tissues, and this leads to Pushing dirt and makeup into the pores and thus leads to the appearance of pores, pimples and blackheads.
  3. Use a makeup remover designed to remove makeup instead of using makeup remover wipes, as it works in a more efficient way. Examples include micellar water, cleansing balm, or oil. These materials help remove makeup that is difficult to remove, such as lipstick, eyebrow powder, or cream. heavy foundation.
  4. Make sure to clean your eyelids from eye shadow, mascara, and eyeliner, knowing that most of the eye makeup is water-resistant, so it may not go away when washing the face, and in this case a piece of cotton must be dipped in a small amount of olive oil and wiped gently so that it does not lead to eyelashes falling out. .
  5. Pull your hair back so that you can remove the makeup that falls on the hairline, otherwise it will accumulate inside the pores and lead to chapped skin.
  6. Choose flat cotton pads, not cotton balls, as they are softer on the skin and do not stick to the skin.
  7. Always apply a layer of moisturizer after removing makeup to moisturize the skin, and apply some eye cream and lip balm to moisturize your face and keep it soft.
